Linocut printmaking workshop June 1st 2013

Saturday June 1st is my next printmaking workshop. Spend all day cutting lino and making prints upstairs at Thomas Tosh shop and cafe´. £50 includes a lovely lunch downstairs. I only have six students in a class, so you will get lots of attention, and enough time to complete some colourful prints to take away. Beginners are welcome, and those with experience.
Ring Thomas Tosh on 01848 331553 to book your place.

Two book covers that I illustrated recently for Fi Martynoga aka Fiona Houston, published by www.saraband.net.
Fi enthusiastically bemoans the evils of the modern diet. In The Garden Cottage Diaries she immerses herself in the 1790's for a whole year.
I do pick nettle tops in spring to jazz up my frozen spinach, but for Fi it is a way of life. Respect.
Hawthorn sandwich anyone?

February 2013 Workshops

February 2013 Workshops

I will be introducing the students to Easycut lino which, as it sounds, is easier for beginners who want to get quick results. We use artist's quality tools and ink from Lawrence www.lawrence.co.uk whose materials I have been using for over thirty years.
