I was delighted to be asked to design a set of six postcards for Pollock's Toy Museum. I had been taken there by my uncle when I used to visit London as a child. As a student at the Central School of Art I would wander around in my lunch hour, and later I took my own children there: nothing has changed. If you have never been, go now. It is a little piece of London history, old style.

The six postcards are letterpress printed in three and four colours by Tony Niepold at Smail's Printing Works in the Borders region of Scotland. The Original Heidelberg, installed in 1953, was the last machine that Smails ever purchased. The National Trust for Scotland took Smails into its care in 1986. It continues to be a genuine working printers using the old technology, and printing to the highest standards. Here Tony is guillotining my cards. The Heidelberg, a 'clam-shell' platen, is on the far right.
